DigiCell supports Semantic Materials Workshop 2025
On 10 November 2025, the Semantic Materials Workshop 2025 took place in Cambridge, UK under the topic of “Knowledge Organisation Challenges and Solutions for Chemicals and Materials-Based Industries”. It was organised by Goldbeck Consulting together with the European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC) and was supported by DigiCell.
The workshop brought together leading academic partners with solution providers from the industry to discuss the particular challenges of knowledge organisation and information integration in the field of chemicals and materials.
Ferry Kienberger from DigiCell coordinator Keysight represented the project and gave a presentation with the title “From battery manufacturing to power-grid emulations: Data analytics, ontologies, and AI” He talked on battery manufacturing and data analytics, and on how modern ontologies and generative AI tools can improve data fidelity and analytical workflows. In particular, it was shown how the battery test ontology can support battery test specifications, and how large language models can help in automated data ingestion for battery electrochemical impedance spectroscopy experiments.
DigiCell is looking forward to further opportunities to engage with experts in the field!
